Rabat Assembly
In addition to rebate wood, you can also order mounting materials for your rebate boards with just a few clicks of the mouse. Choose from various types of tongue-and-groove nails, construction foils, screws, and other handy hardware for attaching your tongue-and-groove boards. We recommend never screwing or nailing into the thin tongue and groove sections. Preferably use 2 screws or nails in the thickest part of the board. See also the page Hardwood and Impregnated beams or sandpapered spruce SLS wood for wood to make a framework for your rebate wood. Also, don’t miss our extensive range of wooden wall cladding. From Swedish rabbet in red cedar to hardwood rhombus, and from Thermal Ayous to Siberian Larch in channel siding or half-timber.
The blade (the point that sticks out) and the groove (the notch for the blade) of tongue-and-groove boards are usually thin and not suitable for screwing through. Place the tongue-and-groove nails or screws in the solid part of the tongue-and-groove board. With the Swedish rebate boards, you can use the screws invisibly by placing the next board over the screw head.
Never install tongue-and-groove boards too tightly so that the wood can still work. Finally, we advise you to pay close attention to the guidelines for the working of the material with our composite wall cladding rebate.
